As a part of the course, I did an internship at The Siasat Daily. I worked as a web journalist intern at the organization’s digital news outlet - SIASAT.COM.
I was assigned different kinds of works, in helping with the content production. My role was primarily to write and edit multiple articles on beats as varied as finance to local news.
I was also assigned fact-checking and cross-verifying tasks frequently, especially when the potential story was controversial or new which was a new learning experience for me. I also learned how to track the origin of a given footage or image on social media.
