Schedule Change Requests
Process
Students who are requesting a late add or a late drop need to obtain approval for the late add/drop/move.
Late adds: Students must obtain course coordinator approval for a late add. Students must submit their request in the schedule change request form at least 10 business days prior to the start of the period.
Late drops: Students must obtain permission by submitting this form: z.umn.edu/latedrop.

If the student is requesting a move that involves a late add and a late drop, they will need approvals for both.
In order for the change to be processed, students must submit a schedule change request form and upload the appropriate approval(s).
If a student attempts to request any scheduling change to a required course, the coordinator should always refer the student back to their academic advisor.
Responding to Student Requests
Please use this template in responding to students who have requested coordinator approval for adding into a course. It is important to make sure to include the name of the course, period, site code, and site name in the approval to the student. Reach out to clsched@umn.edu with any questions about this process.
