Forum Kamdar, M.D.

Forum Kamdar, M.D. (kamd0001@umn.edu) is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Cardiovascular Division. She received her M.D. from the University of Minnesota. She completed her internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease training through the Physician-Scientist Training Program at the University of Minnesota. She completed an advanced heart failure fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic and returned to Minnesota as faculty. Her clinical and research interests are in muscular dystrophy associated cardiomyopathy and application of advanced heart failure therapies in this population. She co-founded the neuromuscular cardiomyopathy clinic. The Kamdar lab focuses on translational research focused on modeling human heart failure, including Duchenne muscular cardiomyopathy, using patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cell cardiomyocytes. She is a recipient of the Doris Duke Clinical Scientist Development Award. She looks forward to providing translational and clinical research experience and mentorship to fellows.
