Chetan Shenoy, MBBS, MS

Chetan Shenoy, MBBS, MS (cshenoy@umn.edu) is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Cardiovascular Division and the Director of the Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging Fellowship. His research efforts are focused on cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR). Dr. Shenoy is NIH-funded and recognized nationally and internationally for his research in CMR. As the senior author, he has published in several high impact journals such as JACC: Cardiovascular Imaging, Circulation: Cardiovascular Imaging, Circulation: Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology, European Heart Journal - Cardiovascular Imaging, Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, and Journal of the American Heart Association. The first author of virtually all his papers are trainees. His collaborative work has been published in other high impact journals such as Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and JAMA Cardiology.

Dr. Shenoy serves as a research mentor for medical students, residents, and fellows. His mentees have received several grants/scholarships to pursue research under his mentorship, from institutions such as the American Heart Association, the Clinical and Translational Science Institute of the University of Minnesota, and the American Medical Association Foundation. They have also won several awards for their work in Dr. Shenoy’s group.
