What's your Major/Minor? Why did you choose that major?
I'm a junior studying Computer Science through the College of Engineering and double minoring in Math and History. In high school I really didn't like computer science, but freshman year summer I realized how efficient and helpful computers can be, especially to do the mundane tasks that I don't personally want to spend days doing. My minors are purely based off of my personal interests!
What courses are you mentoring for this semester?
I mentor for EECS 203 and 280.
What internships have you had? What have you learned from them?
I worked as a technology intern for a Chicago-based private equity firm my freshman year summer, which exposed me to Machine Learning algorithms and made me realize that CS is something that I want to major in. My sophomore summer, I worked with Michigan ITS as an infrastructure systems developer, which taught me a lot about front-end web development, and how systems are run in higher education institutions.
What are your graduation plans?
I'm interested in product management and consulting as potential career options after graduation.
Fun fact about yourself?
I grew up in Shanghai and Singapore :)
