Meet...Charles Alford IV!

What's your Major/Minor? Why did you choose that major?

I am majoring in Computer Science through the College of Engineering with a minor in German. I have always liked learning new languages, with Arabic being the most fun I have had learning a language, and this extended to learning programming languages. 

What courses are you mentoring for this semester?

I am mentoring for EECS 183 this semester.

What internships have you had? What have you learned from them?

I have interned at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise during summer 2023, and I was able to pickup a much stronger sense of Python, as well as what it meant to work for a large corporation in Tech. 

What are your graduation plans?

After I graduate in fall 2024, I plan to work in software development, ideally in Germany or another German-speaking country. 

Fun fact about yourself?

I like to collect different kinds of old audio equipment and mediums (vinyl, cassettes, even CDs).
