This public forum provides a unique opportunity for UM's Impact Oriented Interdisciplinary Research Grant (IIRG) recipients to showcase their findings to a wider audience and have a greater impact on society. Sustainable and organic aquaculture refers to the practice of farming aquatic organisms such as fish, shellfish, seaweed, etc with new sustainable techniques for the society. The goal of sustainable aquaculture is to meet the growing demand for seafood while minimizing negative impacts on the environment, promoting social equity, and ensuring economic viability.
