My practice consists of many different media, not just one. My favorite type of art is graffiti and stickers. The reason I love to do this type of work is because I enjoy changing the meaning of things. I loves to attract people’s attention to objects that people just walk by. This is a way of making dead spaces come alive, such as signs that no longer are used, houses that are abandoned, or even a simple wall. The artist that inspires me to make this type of art is Banksy because he creates art that makes people question, and his work changes the meaning of the object the art is placed upon. During the process of making my artworks he has learned that it doesn't matter what size the art can be because at the end of the day people will stop and see it.
I describe my creative practice as exploration. The reason for that is because I tends to explore ways to make my art and how to improve it. I never makes the same type of style unless I really love how it looks. I use my hand a lot in my art work, there isn't one piece that doesn't involve my hand. I draw them, cut them, color them, usI attends the University of Illinois at Chicago. I am freshman and is majoring in Arts. One of my passions is drawing but is also works with any type of art medium that involves using my hands. My passion for art was sparked by seeing my older sister, Jocelynne, make art in front of me. The way she made her art with special characteristics caught my attention and made me want to do the same art. She made each letter with so much detail that it seemed like a story was unfolding. These are the type of characteristics her artwork included we wild designs inside the letters. I decided to create my own art that tells a story and changes people's way of seeing things.
e movement with spray cans, switch positions of my hand to get a better angle, and more. There’s been many accidents in my artwork that changes it and I tends to create a different drawing. That’s how most of my characters have been created and made. I don’t really display any of my art pieces except for the stickers I make out of the postal stickers. I place them where people least expect it. My personal view is shown through my art work by how I draw each individual art. The colors I choose set the mood and the way he draws his characters or drawings shows the other part.
I want to have an impact wherever his art is placed on. he wants to change the meanings of things and make places or objects that aren't noticeable to be noticed by people. Street Graffiti matters to me because he loves to make a difference in life. Help people see things differently than how things are seen normally.
I practice my art at my house or any place I am at. The place doesn't matter when I start to sketch or draw because every drawing I make all relates to my mood or something that struck me on drawing about. At this stage, I haven't displayed much of my work in galleries but
I do at school, as projects and assignments in class, and in public spaces.
