EEB research courses may allow EEB BS majors to receive major credit for participating in research at UCSC. Up to 5 units of undergraduate research from BIOE 183W, 183L, or 195 may be used to satisfy one EEB General Elective requirement. Please note, you do not need to enroll in undergraduate research courses to do work in an EEB research lab and can choose to volunteer instead.
All research courses require the support of a Faculty Advisor to enroll. Enrollment in all Undergrad Research Courses requires submission of an Undergraduate Research Contract.
Courses require 3 hours of field or lab work per week per unit.
