Everyone has Writer's Block

I have definitely written a few really shitty first drafts in my lifetime but I never realized that it was something actual writers practice. I guess it is important to just get words down on a paper, it helps you formulate a game plan and helps you actually get an idea of what the heck you're actually writing about. It's similar to what brainstorming is, to simply get all the thoughts down on paper so when you finally write a final draft you know that you're not missing any crucial information.

Practice makes perfect and this is especially the case when it comes to writing as Anne Lammot argues, writing a shitty first draft can lead to clarity and sometimes brilliance in our second and third drafts (Lammot 1). Tying in the second source on Incorporating Sources into Research Writing, the author(s) prioritize the importance of brainstorming and conducting preliminary research as the first step to conducting research.

All of our lives we've been criticized, scolded, and carefully examined when it came to our writing. Up until my senior year of high school, my language teacher finally encouraged us to break away from the 5 paragraph format and to explore different ways of writing, under one condition, to make our stance and thesis are made clear.
I think writing Blogs, as we do now, really help with creative writing and improve writing skills when it comes to translating the thoughts in our mind into tangible words on paper.

Until next time!
