Monday 03/09 - Today our team broke apart our speaker. This helped us access the actual speaker and wiring better. We came to a consensus that we would take Mr. Rojas' suggestion and CNC the holes onto out wood while the speakers would be on the inside. We also measured the speakers and updated the fusion. This is the Implement step of the Design Process.
IMG_7236.MOVTuesday 03/10 - Today our team realized that we would need to move the speaker on the side of our mirror due to the sound being potentially muffled when setting the mirror upright. We updated the fusion model and made sure it had the speaker holes on the side. We also decided to CNC out top piece and asked Mr. Rojas to do the zeroing. We vaccumed any wood dust and included a video of the process. This is the Implement step of the Design Process.
Wednesday 03/11 - Today we finished implementing and updating our fusion model. We also decided to cut the extra plastic around the toggle so that we could get an accurate diameter and put it into our fusion model. In the next few days, we plan on getting the sides CNC'd after we are fully set on the position and measurements for the speaker. This is the Implement step of the Design Process.
Thursday 03/12 - We officialized the holes for our speakers an added ventilationthat we will be doing with the speakers. That way we just need to use the actual motherboard anad dial on the speaker to adjust the sound. We also made sure to make the hole for the dial and enough ropom around it so we are able to manually increase the volume. We plan on attaching the speakers on the opposite sides of the wood and made sure to check the distance between each speaker and the actual dial is close enough so the wires can attach. This is part of our design process with the Implement step as we are trying to implement different aestehtics and designs to make our project look better.
