Monday 02/16 - NO SCHOOL (PRESIDENTS DAY)
Tuesday 02/17 - Today we cut the wood into correct dimensional pieces for our frame and brought it to school to sand down and make it smooth. This is the Develop and Prototype part of the Design Process. We are starting to see a frame for our project. We also are still waiting on our power supplies and dongle so that we can upload and perform some coding.
Wednesday 02/18 - Today our mirror was shipped. We plan on using the mirror's dimensions to figure out where to drill our ventilation holes, place our speakers, etc. We also worked on the other issues we might encounter and also had a meeting with Mr. Rojas. An issue we that was that our wood would need to first be cut before we drill holes. We plan on doing this with either a drill press of CNC. This is the Develop and Prototype part of the Design Process.
Thursday 02/19 - Today we used the dimensions from the Fusion to mark our wood in order to cut it. We also planned on cutting the door today in hopes of having two pieces and also want to ask Mr. Rojas how to use the CNC. As the lab is packed, we hope to make some progress towards this. This is the Develop and Prototype part of the Design Process.
Friday 02/20 - Today it was just me (Simra) and Radha so we talked to Mr. Rojas about our plans to cut our wood. The rest of our materials also arrived today which was the UL certified power supplies and the micro SD card. After talking with Mr. Rojas, we decided that we would not cut the wood top all the way but instead do a 3/4 cut and flip it. We also decided to switch our ventilation type and add an engraving as well. After Radha discussed with her dad, she thought about adding perforation instead of a 3d printed or cnc cut ventilation.
