In Cardboard’s Cleaving: Stories of Resilience Told Through Cardboard Portraiture
This project explores different concepts of the human condition through portraiture using cardboard, an unconventional medium. A series of six paintings use portraiture to reflect on the emotional inner realities behind the facades we craft and present. The final product also includes a 10-page paper analyzing and explaining the series, as well as an image gallery including the pieces and handwritten letters associated with the work.

Fundraiser Cookbook Style Guide
In collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Director of Refugee Services of Texas, this project includes the design for a published Fundraiser Cookbook. The final product consists of a dynamic, inspiring and well-researched design layout, a PDF document of the Visual Identity Guide, and a 10-page paper on the creative process.

Approaches to Art Education: Teaching student artists how relationships form identity
Using the “big idea” method of organization, this project includes a middle school unit plan, consisting of four lessons plans, focusing on how relationships form identity. An additional 5-page APA formatted research paper is included, looking at the impact of Art Education on the socialization of middle school-aged students and how that impact helps students in other educational avenues and life skill development.
