Focus Skills in Reading: 

Reading: Retelling fiction and nonfiction

Grammar: Plural Possessives, homophones, and homonyms

Phonics: UFLI Lessons

Focus Skills in Math: 

Students are currently learning about repeated addition and arrays. Next, they will be building their skills with measurement. Students will be practicing automaticity with math facts throughout the year. This quarter, students will be focusing on double digit addition facts. It would be helpful to practice these facts at home too. 

Focus Skill in Science:  Human Body Systems and Matter

Focus Skill in Social Studies:  We are discussing the importance of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, along with why immigration continues today.
