Welcome to the 2025-26 school year!
WELCOME TO 2ND GRADE
My name is Ms. Ginty and I'm so excited to have you in my class this year! Our classroom is room 126 and I am looking forward to welcoming you into our class! This is my third year working here at The Villages Charter School. I am engaged to my amazing fiance, Corey, and we can't wait to get married in the spring!!

December 9th-2nd Grade Parent Night (please bring your student) 6:00pm-7:30pm
December 11th-FAST Star Math Progress Monitoring
December 15th-Christmas Musical: Students arrive and doors open at 6:00, Performance begins at 6:30
December 17th-Holiday Class Party from 9:15am-10:15am, parents are welcome to come!
December 19th-Last day of Quarter 2
December 19th-Last Day Before Winter Break
January 6th-Students return from break
Dear Families and Students,
Our lunch time is at 11:43 so we will be having snack every morning, please remember to be sending your child with one healthy snack each day! Please check your child's folder and initial their agenda every night and send them back to school every morning.
Reading: This week in Reading we will focus on the following skills:
Comprehension Strategy: Author's Opinion
Phonics: UFLI Lessons 92 and 93
Math: This week in Math we will be learning about fractions using halves, thirds, and fourths. Students will be tested weekly on a mixed selection of addition and subtraction facts so please practice with your child each night.
Science: This week in Science we will be continuing to learn about Habitats.
Social Studies: This week in Social Studies we will be learning about Native American Tribes.
