Welcome to the 2025-26 school year!
Learning focus:
Our units are structured differently this year, please notice that we will continue focusing on the same texts as well as some of the same skills for multiple weeks.
ELA:
UFLI Assessments are given weekly. This test will assess the weekly spelling/phonics pattern. Students are encouraged to study nightly, practice writing words, and make flashcards with the weekly pattern to help master the skill. You can find the pattern for each week on the study guide.
Fluency: A fluency passage will be sent home each week. Please practice the fluency passage with your child each night, timing them reading the passage for one minute.
Media Center:
We visit the library once a week. Students are able to check out books each week. Please ensure your child is reading at home each night. Please also ensure students bring their library books back to school with them each day.
