The Walkthrough Evidence & Feedback form is designed to recognize and document great instructional moments. Walkthroughs will focus on what is happening in the classroom rather than what isn't happening. Individual feedback will be provided to teachers the day of a walkthrough.
The district form below will be used by district personnel who may visit classrooms. TUVA staff will use the same "look-fors" to document evidence of best practices. As a site, we will analyze school-wide data only, no individual data or identifying information will ever be shared or discussed as a staff.
When an observer comes in, they will send the instructor a brief chat message. There is no need to stop class or acknowledge the visitor.
Keep Zoom chat open so a visitor can communicate with you.
Establish expectations for students when visitors are present; students should carry on with the lesson as though no one is there.
Maintain a growth mindset when reviewing feedback or site-based data from instructional walkthroughs.
