Purpose of Advisory
TUVA students in grades 5-12 will have an Advisory class scheduled during 3rd period. Advisory is a pass/fail course; all students who attend should receive a passing grade. Advisory is intended as a safe and inclusive classroom for students to build social-emotional skills and check in with a trusted adult. Advisory is an opportunity to meet with individual students to discuss grades, behavior, and progress on their academic and social goals.
TUVA Daily Announcements should be shown daily during Advisory.
Advisory teachers will be the case-manager of any MTSS plans for students in their advisory course.

Per consensus, teachers are not required to plan instructional activities for Advisory.
The activity schedule here is a suggestion for making the most out of your advisory time using pre-created materials.
