Site-Based Professional Learning

As a Tucson Unified school, TUVA staff will participate in professional learning every Wednesday following the early release of students. Elementary PD will typcally begin at 1:30 while secondary PD will begin at 2:30. However, there may be times throughout the year that all TUVA staff is participating in the same professional development sessions at 2:30. Use your Outlook calendar for specific times and the Zoom link.

District Professional Development

TUSD staff will participate in 4 professional learning days each year. These PD days are non-attendance days for students and contracted work days for staff. A calendar of course offerings will be provided in advance of the PD day.

Professional Learning Days:  August 23, October 25, January 24, March 20

Commitments

• Attend professional development sessions and participate actively following established norms.

• Engage in professional learning with an open mind.

• Attend required district PD, including timely completion of any required TNL courses.
