Classroom teachers, building leaders, and staff that supports our classrooms (such as counselors, social workers, and more) have the ability to text families of our students and have the text messages translated. There is a web-based platform for our staff to use. Families can receive to his/her/their personal devices (ie- cell phones) or create an account and use the app/website.

Class room teachers: Talking Points accounts are organized in two ways; a data pull from Skyward for the teacher of record or manually added. If you do not see your access to Talking Points in Clever's single sign on, then please reach out to Hsianyu Kuo or Theren Hayes for help with Clever.

Yes. Google Voice will go away. Talking Points will replace the ability to message/text families as Google Voice did. Talking Points does not have a calling feature. The phones in our classrooms and offices will be the primary calling service

No. Families do not need to have the web-based or smartphone app. Texting/SMS services are ok. There are advantages and disadvantages for using the app or texting only.
