Create and Copy Views
Use the Create New View dialog to add a variety of view types to your project.
Ways to access
In the menu, select Insert > View.
In the Tilos Explorer, right-click Views and select New View.
In the Type of view menu, you can select one of the view types. Once set, the type cannot be changed.
Create a new view
In the Create New View dialog, enter a descriptive Name for the view to distinguish it from others.
Select a Type of view from these options:
Integrated View - A layout-based view that can be compared with the paper space in a CAD system. For details, see Integrated View.
Gantt Chart (time) - A Gantt chart used to monitor the project in relation to the time axis
Subproject Settings dialog. For details, see Setting Gantt Chart Subproject Properties.
Gantt Chart (location) - A Gantt chart used to monitor the project in relation to the distance axis
Activity List - A list with details on all of the activities in your project
Link List - A list with details on all of the activity-to-activity links in your project
Resource Allocations - A view that shows which resources have been allocated to which activities in the sub-projects
Cost Allocations - A list of the accounts and their attributes in the project.
Activity Step List - A list of existing steps of all activities. For details, see Activity Step List.
Activity Note List - A view with notes that list every activity’s creator and creation date
Print Form for Gantt Chart - A border that is wrapped around a Gantt chart for pictures, logos, text, and legend information for printing
Microprogress List - A list that displays all recorded micro-progresses. For details, see View a Microprogress List.
File Links - A list of attached files and documents.
Connect changes - A list of tasks created or modified in Trimble Connect..
Quadri changes - A list of tasks created or modified in Trimble Quadri.
In the Comment field, enter any descriptive information about the view.
In the Grouping Character field, type one or more characters to group the views in the Tilos Explorer. For details, see Group Views.
In the Sorting Character field, type one or more characters to sort the views in the explorer. For details, see Sort Views.
Click one of these buttons:
Open in New Window - Place the view in its own window.
Open in Active Window - Place the view in the current window with other existing cells.
All open windows can be displayed in the working area at once. In the menu, select Window > Tile Horizontal/Vertical.
To see all of your views, click + next to Views in the Tilos Explorer.
Create a view from an existing view
Select a view in the Tilos Explorer.
Press CTRL + C and then CTRL + V (or right-click > Copy and right-click > Paste).
Note: When you copy a view it copies the layout (number and sizes of the cells and their settings) of the view also. The displayed cell contents (projects, pictures, scales, etc.) are not copied. Those contents are just displayed a second time (‘mirrored’) in the new view. Changing those contents will also change them in other views, like the original view.
