Create and Edit Mass Areas
Use the Mass Area dialog to create mass areas and the Mass Area tab to edit existing mass areas. A mass area defines an area (location), that is connected, with a special material: quantity and type:

Ways to access
To create, right-click in a mass haulage diagram and choose Add New Mass Area.
To edit. select a mass area in a mass haulage diagram. Click the Mass Area tab in the Object Properties pane.
Steps
Create a mass area
Right-click in a mass haulage diagram and choose Add New Mass Area.
In the Mass Area (#) enter a Name and Mass area ID for the new area.
Choose a Subproject as a container for the mass area objects.
In the Filter character field, enter a filtering character as the basis for sorting views in the explorer.
Enter a unique Description.
Select the Mass Type of the mass area. You can choose from the list of types created in the library.

Insert the Start and End distances.
Specify the Overhaul distance which reflects the distance between the balance point and the real location of the Area (e.g., stockpile has a distance of 12 km to the site).
Enter the Area Quantity you are dealing with. Tilos will calculate the position of the mass balance point. You may change that value.
Use the Level field to display various mass layers. The mass areas are ordered from the biggest level (top) to the smallest level (bottom).
Edit a mass area
Select a mass area in a mass haulage diagram.
Click the Mass Area tab in the Object Properties pane.
Edit any of these parameters:
Area quantity
Accounted -
Remaining -
Haul quantity
Accounted - The total volume from all haulage lines
Remaining - The area quantity - (minus) the haul quantity
Scheduled Quantity
Accounted - The total of all quantities scheduled on activities
Remaining - The area quantity - (minus) the scheduled quantity
Baseline Quantity
Accounted - The quantity that was defined in the associated activity from the current baseline

Actual Quantity
Accounted - The quantity that is progressed
Remaining -
Reported Quantity
Accounted - This quantity can be imported or set from reports from the site. This value allows for a planned vs actual comparison.
