Cost Options

Note: The seldom-used contract features have now been hidden in Tilos version 11 so they can be refactored for more powerful use in future integrations with BIM products, like Trimble Connect and Quadri, where the activities can be connected to object/contract items. Tools > Options > Functions tab > Enable Contract Items has been removed, as well as Tilos Explorer > Project Library > Contract Data node. If you have a project with contract data, it has only been disabled and hidden, but the data is still in your project.

Use the Cost page to define which currency is used as standard and which cost group, e.g., for new resources is used as standard.

Ways to access

  • On the menu, select Tools > Options > Cost tab.

Currency Settings

  • Default currency after create - All new cost groups that you create will contain the set currency as default. The currency can then be changed individually.

  • Display currency - The currency displayed is used within the views for the evaluation of costs within the histograms and for all export functions. Exchange rate will be used before displaying

Contract item assignments

  • Enable contract items - Contracts with bit items can be added in the library and assigned to Activities, if this option is checked.

  • Convert permanent resource assignments to type allocation - Tilos calculates the effort of the resource based on the assigned bit items.

If this option is set, after generating the resources, the Model of an allocation is set to allocation. This means that the effort changes after changing the duration and this will increase the costs.

  • Create Quantity-based allocations - Tilos calculates the effort of the resource based on the assigned bit items.

If this option is set, after generating the resources, the Model of an allocation is set to a Quantity based allocation. The calculated effort is then defined by the Quantity assigned. On changing the quantity of the Activity, this will also change the effort of the Activity.

  • Default account for income - The calculated income (price) is booked to the selected cost center.

  • Default Cost Groups (New Resources) - If you create new resources in the libraries, they automatically have the cost group entered here allocated. This can then be changed within the resources.
