Hi everyone,
Please see the attached slides from yesterday's PMG meeting.
Here are some highlights:
The Joint Commission visit is happening Monday and Tuesday, 12/8 and 12/9. They will be at Bruner on Monday morning. Please remember to not leave anything with PHI out and remember to badge out of computers. Please don't have any food in patient care areas and drinks must have a lid. Answers to questions they might ask can be found at the MA stations - it's okay to go there for answers. If you see the site visitors speaking with a colleague, don't run away, it's okay to be nearby and offer support if they need it.
Amy shared that Medicaid patients with diabetes who are on insulin may now be able to get CGMs more easily than in the past. They can potentially get one if they are even on once daily insulin.
Liz shared the attached document which helps provide some information about the use of AI chatbots for counseling. The punchline is that this is not recommended. The attached document is informational for providers and associates, not for patients.
Taryn with informatics shared the attached information regarding how to place Hub tickets for informatic and Epic related assistance. The informatic team's contact information is also in the handout. They are ready to help when you need them!
We do not have a contract for Holter and event monitors for uninsured patients at the present. Uninsured patients may receive a bill for these services.
