Here are some of the topics we addressed in the meeting:
Reach out and Read: Providers, please remember to charge capture for reach out and read books during well child visits from 2 months to 5 years of age. We receive these books free of cost through the Reach out and Read program, but we must charge capture for them to continue receiving the books. Please reach out with any question. You can find more information on charge capture during well child visits here.
QI Projects: We reviewed the ongoing QI projects at Bruner. Please see the slides for details on our work around hypertension, diabetes, pediatric well child checks, and cancer screening
Multi-use vials: Please remember to label all multi-use vials when they are opened. They must be labeled with the date opened and the expiration date (information on how to label these is on the cabinet door where these are stored). Unlabeled vials must be discarded and we are working to decrease this unnecessary waste.
VFC flu shots: We have flu vaccine for VFC patients (pediatric patients with Medicaid or uninsured). We hope to receive private flu stock in the near future.
RSV vaccine: We have the RSV vaccine for pregnant patients (Abrysvo). Please give to pregnant patients who were not vaccinated during a prior pregnancy. This is given to patients at 32 to 36 weeks gestation between September 1 and January 31.
National APP Week: In recognition of National APP week, we recognized Jennifer, Jennie, and Bridgette for all that they do for our patients and all they do for our clinic and community.
