Sports Medicine - Dr Mike DaRosa and his athletic trainer, Samantha (Sam) Leach have joined Uptown and were present for PMG. They will be heavily involved with the Uptown Sports Medicine and Bruner Sports Medicine clinics. Please welcome them and help them out when questions come up. They have an office along the hallway form the waiting room to the Blue Team hallway, next door to the APP office.
Nutrition - We officially welcomed Esmeralda Garcia, our nutritionist. Please send her patients. She is able to see pediatric and adult patients and is also available for warm handoffs.
Epic upgrades - the informatics team shared information on an upcoming Epic upgrade. This is coming on September 9th. Please see the attachment for details on how to access the upgrade information.
Clinical pharmacy - Dr Christina Berg shared the attached handout with information detailing clinical pharmacy services at BFM. This information is also available on the Clinic Binder.
Kaiser patients - please note we are no longer accepting new patients with Kaiser insurance. We will continue to care for our current patients with Kaiser insurance.
Radiology testing - there is a shortage of radiologists in the Denver area. This has caused significant delays for patients waiting for reads on imaging studies. Please let patients know this in appropriate situations.
