Lesson Two

ELAR Level Six, Unit 3: Homophones

LESSON TWO

In this Lesson you will be reviewing and/or learning more homophones which are very common in the English language.

Please read the following paragraph and notice how the homophones are used.

Daddy took us to the store.  He had to buy some tacks for a project.  I needed two oars for my boat, and my brother Benny wanted some new blue jeans. Because Daddy needed to get back to work, we planned the best route to take through the aisles so that it wouldn't take too much time to shop.   However, Benny didn't want to take a straight route.  He wanted to zigzag and explore everything on the shelves.

Now look over the list of  homophones and study their definitions.
