Lesson Four

ELAR Level Six, Unit 2: Reading SAT Vocabulary

LESSON FOUR

Learning new vocabulary words will help you in school and on tests. Studying the meaning of a word is very important because if you know the meaning of every word in a question, then most likely, you will be able to choose the right answer.

Try to focus on each new word and its spelling and definition. Don't try to learn too many words at one time.

To help you in your learning, say the words out loud to another person. Learn the words as you read them in a short story, a newspaper, or in a book. Finally, practice, practice, and practice some more. The more you practice, the more the words will stay in your memory and become a part of you.

Here is the list of vocabulary words and their definitions. Really get a good understanding of the words, their meanings and spellings. Then please continue on to the quizzes.
