Tell me more about Vocabulary Words

Please read the following paragraph and pay attention to the underlined words:

My dog Boz is very funny. My basset hound likes to take life easy and loves to lie around all day. However, there are times when Boz does actually get up off the couch, and that is usually when he sees my neighbor's cat sitting on its podium. Boz will bide his time until just the right moment and then hasten to attack the poor kitty as she plummets to the ground and lands on all four paws. My basset hound doesn't mean any harm. He just wants to rob the kitty of a peaceful day. I have to keep from laughing at his game playing because at times I see him nuzzle with the kitty on my couch. Boz is a funny dog!

My basset hound will bide his time and then hasten to attack a poor kitty.

Now see if you can guess the meaning (or definition) of each underlined

word.
