It is with utmost joy that we, the student council, embark on this wonderful journey alongside the rest of the student body. Our top priority is to make this year memorable and enjoyable, where the student's voice is acknowledged and prioritized. Our Student Council is composed of exceptional individuals, each with unique perspectives that they bring to the group. The member's willingness to learn and grow as a leader will contribute to the school's spirit in fostering commitment and relationships within the student body.
Good morning, students, faculty, and administration:
I am Elena Pietrantoni Salib, and I am honored to serve as your Student Council Executive Board President this school year. First and foremost, I want to officially welcome you back to school. I am truly excited to see where this upcoming year will take us. Whether you are a returning student or walking these halls for the first time, this is a fresh start, a chance to grow, learn, and create new memories together. I encourage you to take advantage of every opportunity, expand your comfort zone, and support one another along the way. Let’s make this a year to remember!
The TASIS Dorado Student Council Executive Board is committed to ensuring that every student’s voice is heard. Representing you is both an honor and a privilege, and we are excited to get started. This year’s Executive Board is made up of: myself, Elena Pietrantoni, President; our Vice President, Catalina Quiñones; our Secretary, Tobias Luxembourg; our Treasurer, Arturo Marxuach; our Historian, Jorge Torres; and our Public Relations Specialist, Eva Raffaele. Together, we are ready to serve, support, and lead our community forward.
We have been working diligently since May to create an exceptional school year filled with engaging activities. This year, we want to focus on giving back by emphasizing our service. With that goal as our guiding principle, we chose this year’s theme: Privilege to Serve: Giving Time, Changing Lives. Our mission is to inspire the student body to step up and take selfless action, because even the smallest gesture can create a big impact. We want to give back to the community, not just by donating money, but by donating our time, sharing our talents, and offering our presence. By volunteering and actively supporting those around us, we can demonstrate the true power of service. Together, we will lead with heart, living out the mission, vision, and values of our school through meaningful action.
We want to dedicate this school year to building a stronger connection between our school and our community, working together in different community service initiatives each month. This will not just be a Student Council effort, but it will be a school-wide one. We are committed to engaging the entire student body in meaningful service opportunities that inspire action and create lasting change. With the guidance and support of the Student Council, every student will have the chance to showcase their creativity, leadership, and dedication in ways that truly matter. What sets TASIS Dorado apart is our community’s spirit, our willingness not just to participate, but to step forward with purpose. By showing up, working together, and giving our best, we demonstrate our commitment to making a real difference within our school, throughout Puerto Rico, and beyond. We are counting on you!
As students and representatives of TASIS Dorado, we have a responsibility to uphold the guidelines and expectations that define our school community. This year, we have important changes, so please listen carefully.
In a few days, we will all talk about the Honor Code and the important role of integrity in building trust and respect within our community. But today, we want to focus on reviewing the new dress code to ensure that everyone follows the correct uniform guidelines. Here is a quick reminder of the do’s and don’ts when it comes to wearing our uniforms.
Do’s:
From A to E days:
You can wear a polo or Oxford shirt with navy blue pants, shorts, or skirts.
Shirts must be tucked in at all times.
If you wear pants or shorts, a belt is required, which must be solid black, brown, or navy.
Skirts must be knee-length.
Socks must be white, navy, or black and worn in ankle, crew, or knee-length styles.
Shoes or sneakers must be black, white, brown, or navy. Small red accent colors are permitted.
Seniors must follow the same guidelines; however, we have the privilege of wearing shoes coordinated with the color of our Senior Oxford shirt.
On F days, everyone must wear the formal uniform:
Wear a skirt, knee-length or long pants with your Oxford shirt tucked in and a black, brown, or navy belt.
Socks must be white, navy, or black and worn in ankle, crew, or knee-length styles.
Sneakers must be black, brown, or navy. Small red accent colors are permitted.
PE uniforms are only to be worn on the days you have PE class. If you have PE class, you must come to school wearing your regular uniform. Then, you must change into your PE uniform before PE class. After PE class ends, you must change back to your formal uniform.
Upper school students, remember PE will only be during the first semester.
This year, the only approved outerwear is the Letterman jacket or the Land’s End jackets.
Don’ts:
Shirts may not be untucked.
Pants without belts are prohibited.
College hoodies or any other hoodies are not allowed this year
No spirit gear, club, or sport shirts are allowed as part of the uniform.
You can not wear colored socks with colored shoes.
PE uniforms cannot be worn all day.
Thank you, models!

Good morning, faculty, staff, and administration.
Today is a special day! I am truly honored to stand on this stage alongside this year’s Student Council officers. Congratulations to all of us for being inducted into such a prestigious society. For me, being president is not just about the title; it is about the privilege of being the voice of the TASIS Dorado student body, someone who sees, hears, and represents you every day. I promise to always listen, stand by you, and ensure your ideas are heard. I want our school to be a place where every student feels included, supported, and proud to be part of this community.
Over the past few months, our council has reflected on what it truly means to be leaders. Attending the Student Leadership Conference in Chicago last January / allowed us to connect with student leaders from around the world, participate in workshops, and reflect on our own council’s work. It made us really understand what it truly means to be a leader. On the final day of the conference, we came together as a council to review our work / and discuss how we can grow as a team.
One key takeaway from this reflection process was the importance of meaningful service. Here at TASIS, we are fortunate to support our community / and extend that support across Puerto Rico. We are deeply grateful for these opportunities, yet we also recognize that true service goes beyond giving; it is about dedicating our time, energy, and presence to make a tangible contribution. We recognized the need to broaden opportunities for our students to give back, not just through financial contributions, but by dedicating their time, energy, and presence to making a real impact. From that moment forward, our mission became clear: to inspire a culture where giving back means showing up, engaging fully, and leaving a lasting, positive impact both within our school and far beyond its walls.
This year, our theme is “Privilege to Serve,” with the slogan “Giving Time, Changing Lives.” We want to create community service opportunities where every student, from Pre-Pre-K through Senior year, can get involved. We are proud to share that yesterday we successfully completed our first community service of the year: a Blood Drive. Thank you to everyone who participated. We are grateful for your support in helping to save lives.
We have a calendar full of ideas to help us achieve our goal, with the highlight being a special day in February: “Spread the Love: A Day of Service.” This day will bring the entire student body together / through acts of service that benefit both our campus and the broader community. We are planning a variety of service activities / tailored to each school level and student age, so that everyone can make a meaningful contribution. These experiences will not only create positive change but also help students connect and grow closer as a class, fostering relationships across grades and backgrounds.
Being part of the Student Council for so many years has taught me the importance of having aspirations / and working as a team to achieve a successful year. This year, our focus is on leaving a meaningful legacy. We plan to devote our time and energy to improving our community / by being selfless leaders who act with courage, integrity, and a commitment to building a stronger, more united community. These small, consistent actions are what real leadership looks like. Thus, as we move forward this year, let’s each look for those moments to lead, not with authority, but with kindness, responsibility, and heart.
I hope this year goes smoothly and successfully for everyone. As we look ahead, I want to assure you of a few things.
Executive board, I promise to give my all, every meeting, every activity, and in the behind-the-scenes work that makes our plans succeed. I will dedicate myself to ensuring everything we do is executed with care, excellence, and purpose. You can count on me to communicate openly and keep our shared goals in mind. Together, with the support of the class representatives, we will make this a year of meaningful impact and lasting memories. Class representatives, this executive board is ready to support you during this year. We are here to guide you, listen to your ideas, and work alongside you to help your class thrive.
Student body, as we begin this new chapter, it is important to remember that you do not need a title to be a leader. Leadership is not about holding a specific role or position; it is about how you choose to show up each day. You can lead simply by helping others, stepping up when something needs to be done, and putting in time and effort / even when no one is watching. It is about setting a positive example, encouraging those around you, and doing the right thing, even when it is difficult.
And above all, remember that this council is here to support you. If you have questions, concerns, or ideas, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are ready to listen, support, and collaborate with you. Together, we can make a meaningful difference, strengthen our community, and demonstrate what it truly means to lead with integrity and compassion.
Once again, thank you for the trust you have placed in me and in each of the officers on this stage. We are dedicated to making this a remarkable year, filled with lasting impact and positive change. Let’s work together to make it happen.
Thank you, have a great day, and Bear Pride!
