This Kindness Week is more thrilling than ever, featuring a casual day and plenty of exciting games! Some even contribute to Spirit Week points. We'll be posting the winners and scores for each game right here, so be sure to check the website daily to see if your class is in the lead. Let’s have an amazing time, Bears!
Theme: Kind
We want to start the week by putting the “i” in kind with the student body.
Students can take a fun photo at the "K ND" banner, posing as the missing "I" to celebrate kindness. During lunch, board games will be available in the alumni courtyard for students to enjoy and connect with friends.
Theme: Mental Wellness
Acknowledging the adverse challenges students and faculty face every day, we encourage mental breaks as well as being aware of the importance of a healthy mind, especially during school.
During Wellness Lunch, the Student Council will offer various relaxing activities, including coloring sheets, crossword puzzles, games, and meditation or mindful breathing exercises. These activities will take place in the CITL and Alumni Courtyard, providing a space for students to unwind and recharge.
Theme: Kind in Competition Day
The competition should be fun. However, in many cases, the rivalry can cause tension and anger towards others. Since we go to a school where there is a lot of competition, whether academically, in sports, or in other extracurriculars, we want to have a day where we focus on having a friendly competition.
During morning Homeroom, advisors will distribute one bead necklace to each student, provided by the Student Council. Students can then challenge peers from different grades to a rock-paper-scissors match, with immediate elimination—whoever wins takes their opponent’s necklaces. Throughout the day, the goal is to collect as many necklaces as possible. The final round will take place at the Founder’s Courtyard, where students with 40 or more necklaces of a color different from their grade’s can compete. The game will continue until one winner remains, earning 50 points for their class. Grade colors are as follows: 12th—Purple, 11th—Gold, 10th—Silver, 9th—Pink, 8th—Blue, 7th—Red, and 6th—Green.
Theme: Friendship
To highlight the friendships we’ve built in school, we want to dedicate a special day for classes to bond and celebrate the power of friendship as a united team. This day will emphasize that a class is more than just a group of individuals—it's a team that supports, uplifts, and grows together.
During assembly periods, classes will come together to design friendship bracelets for everyone to wear as a symbol of unity. Additionally, board members will help organize extra activities, such as bringing food or planning other ways to strengthen bonds and foster friendship among classmates.
Theme: Warm Welcome Friday
This year, we have focused on fostering a sense of family within our school community. To make this vision a reality, it’s essential to promote kindness and cultivate healthy, supportive relationships with our peers.
To showcase our kind attitudes, we will celebrate Pink, Red, and White Casual Day by dressing in these colors. The Student Council will greet students with cheerful posters and capture moments with the school community to spread positivity and emphasize the importance of kindness in creating a welcoming environment. Additionally, secondary students will receive a small treat, such as candy or lollipops, during Homeroom to make the day even sweeter.
