Role overview
As a Sales Engineer, you will lead and manage the sales and business development initiatives in Oman for Welding Consumables, Power Tools and other consumables across multiple industrial and commercial sectors within the Sultanate, as well as to merchant wholesalers
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities across the welding, abrasives, and PPE product lines.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets through effective pipeline management.
Conduct product presentations, demos, and technical discussions with clients.
Understand customer requirements and recommend the right solutions from Towelltools’ portfolio.
Client Relationship Management
Manage and grow existing customer accounts in industries such as fabrication, construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, and workshops.
Maintain strong relationships with procurement teams, engineers, supervisors, and decision-makers.
Provide timely support, quotations, and follow-ups to ensure conversion.
Technical Expertise
Provide technical clarifications, product comparisons, and usage recommendations.
Coordinate with product managers and suppliers to resolve technical queries.
Stay updated on market innovations, competitor products, and new technologies.
Operational Responsibilities
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence.
Coordinate with internal teams for pricing, stock availability, logistics, and delivery schedules.
Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional events.
Skills & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
3–6 years of experience selling welding equipment, abrasives, industrial tools, or PPE (mandatory for preference).
Strong understanding of welding processes, cutting tools, grinding products, and safety equipment.
Valid GCC driving license (preferred; or willingness to obtain).
Good communication skills
Preferred Skills:
Strong technical selling capability.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and work independently.
Customer-first mindset with a high level of responsiveness.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, CRM tools).
