a. HOTEL GUEST COMPLAINTS: We cannot receive hotel guest complaints about us not sharing the pool fairly with hotel guests. So I am providing you with a summary of what we do to prevent hotel guests complaints as this compromises our hotel contract.
b. If a hotel guest walks in, the procedure is to say hello (so you’re welcoming them in as opposed to them complaining online or to the front desk) and divide the pool making sure that the hotel guest has half the pool. If the hotel guest has kids that can’t swim, give them the shallow end with the stairs (not deep end).
c. Divide the Pool: ensure the hotel guests get half the pool. Divide the pool horizontally or vertically.
d. CLOV-EAST SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS: If there are 8 hotel guests or more using the pool during your lessons, the hotel GM has asked that you take your whole class out of the pool and do dry land until there are less than 8 guests in the pool. Despite the 8 hotel guest rule, each class must get wet (spend 3 minutes treading water in a corner). Our students cannot stay dry for the whole class. This procedure is very important to protect our hotel contract.
e. Grumpy guest: If a hotel guest gets grumpy, follow procedure and get out of the pool and call Clo. If the hotel guest asks what you’re doing, say “we are practicing swimming” (not doing swimming lessons). If you have to climb out and do dry land for more than one class, make sure that every class gets wet for at least a few minutes.
f. Parents: Don’t tell the parents of our swimmers anything.
g. Lock your bins: so hotel guests aren’t helping themselves to our equipment as opposed to telling them they can’t use the equipment.
