In this piece, it was very important to me to explore the side of history that goes unspoken. that side is queer history. I was very inspired by multiple portrait artists, but I also wanted to include an element of real-life for queer people. this piece is commenting on how many queer couples are forced to keep their love for each other hidden. for this piece I started by finding pictures of real queer couples. I then sketched out a couple and started painting with watercolor paint.
