Reverse Engineering

Project Objective:

This project builds off of our last one, that being the Break it Apart Project, however this is a group project that goes a lot more in detail and discusses how we can improve our object. My group studied the neutron drone, which is a remote controlled quadrocopter with a built in camera. With this, we made a detailed group analysis on a google document as well as a slideshow presentation to show our findings. We learned about both the interior and exterior of the drone, as well as how the propellers fly in a way that stabilizes the drone in the air. Which led to our hypothesis being that if we increase the size of the blades on the drone, then it will be able to withstand harsher weather, heavy wind, and higher altitudes.

Reflection:

This project was done really well, our time management was great and my group was very efficient. This aligns with our skills in contentious learning. My group was also good with critical thinking because while learning the functions of the drone we did extra research and thought outside the box. Our collaboration was also something we did well on since we had to divide our work in order to get it all done the fastest we could given the due dates. Another thing that helped our group stay on task was our use of the Gantt Chart which provided us with all the due dates for upcoming assignments and more. Something our group could improve upon is communication. The day of our presentation came quicker than we anticipated which left us unprepared, we were very clear however our presentation could have been more informative and could have been more exciting, given what our object was. But overall, I'm very happy with the outcome of this project.
