Design Step 1

Project Description:

We've started our Capstone Project this semester. This project is focused around solving a problem with an engineering approach. My group and I will be attempting to create prosthetic arms for amputees as a biomedical engineering based project. We call our product/team ARTificial, with an emphasis on art because this prosthetic will be customized by the individual ordering the product. In this update I will post all of our work in the Design Step One process of this project.

Human Centered Design Research

Reflection:

So far our project is coming along really well, my team and I are working hard to connect and reach out to communities for this product and we have lots of good ideas. We also made progress in sending our our surveys to amputee support groups. I'd say we're good at communication and collaboration because our group work is evenly split and we all contribute. I think the only thing we would need to improve upon is time management which is just a conscientious learning skill but ultimately our work is really good in quality and in content. I'm looking forward to getting into design step two and eventually the building aspect of our project.
