Design Step 2

Evidence of Work:

We've started the design step two process of our Capstone Project this semester. This project is focused around solving a problem with an engineering approach. My group and I will be attempting to create prosthetic arms for amputees as a biomedical engineering based project. We call our product/team ARTificial, with an emphasis on art because this prosthetic will be customized by the individual ordering the product. So far in this process we have made multiple classification scheme drawings to best determine which route to take our project in the physical building of it. We also have received our survey results to better understand the demands and wishes in the prosthetic market. In this update I will post all of our work in the Design Step Two process of this project.

Reflection:

So far our project is coming along really well, my team and I are working hard to connect and reach out to communities more for the later stages of our project and we have lots of good ideas. We also made progress in identifying demands and wishes and using those to create our classification theme sketches. I believe we're good at communication and collaboration because our group work is evenly split and we all contribute. I think the only thing we would need to improve upon is time management which is just a conscientious learning skill but ultimately our work is really good in quality and in content. I'm looking forward to getting into design step three and eventually the building aspect of our project.
