For this project we had to plan and create a design for a Microgrid at San Marin. We attained our knowledge from research and from going on a field trip at Stone Edge Farm. We took blueprints of our school and decided where we were going to put our objects for our Microgrid. We researched how much money it will make and how much it will cost. Overall we planned a suitable Microgrid so it can power San Marin and make money for San Marin.
Charge- the property of matter that is responsible for electrical phenomena, existing in a positive or negative form.
Electrostatic force- Electrostatic forces are attractive or repulsive forces between particles that are caused by their electric charges and magnetic fields.
Voltage- an electromotive force or potential difference expressed in volts.
Electric current- is the rate of flow of electric charge past a point or region.
Magnetic field- a region around a magnetic material or a moving electric charge within which the force of magnetism acts.
Volts- the SI unit of electromotive force, the difference of potential that would drive one ampere of current against one ohm resistance.
Magnetic field- a region around a magnetic material or a moving electric charge within which the force of magnetism acts.
Electric field- a region around a charged particle or object within which a force would be exerted on other charged particles or objects.
In this project I had a lot of fun researching about a Microgrid. I also had fun witnessing and going through a Microgrid at a filed trip. Overall there were two things that I worked on that I improved on and there were two things that I feel like I need to work on. Two things that I improved on were character and conscientious learner. For character, I was positive and respected my group mates decisions and ideas. For conscientious learner I felt like I learned a whole lot when it was my first time even hearing about a Microgrid. I thought that these were two things that I improved on. Two things that I need to work on are collaboration and time management. I felt I collaborated a lot but I could have stayed on task a little more and I felt that same for my group mates. For time management there were times where I would spend to much time on one thing and not worry about the next. I am glad that I enjoyed this project and had fun doing it.
