For this project we got to choose a biome from a list of them and I decided to choose the tropical rain forest. I like to learn about rain forest's and I also know a lot about the tropical rain forest. For the project itself, we had to create a presentation showing a self made graphic of our biome and a fictional story of a month long survival experience had we been crash landed.
In a short summary, my story was about me being in a plane crash and appearing on this island. There were many animals on the island and trees that had fruits that I could eat. There were also fresh water sources and spots to set up shelter. One problem was that there were tigers ready to eat me.
Fauna- animal life
Tropical rain forest fauna- monkeys, insects, fish, tigers, snakes, birds, lizards, and gorillas.
Flora- plant life
Tropical rain forest flora- banana trees, coconut trees, berry bushes, rocks, green grass, sand, and palm trees.
Climate- sunny, bright, 80-95 F temperature, light rain, fresh area.
Limiting Factors- there are dangerous animals living on in this biome which makes it hard to live in, like the tigers.
Abiotic Factors- monkeys eat coconuts leaving humans and other animals with less coconuts.
Biotic Factors- snakes eat the rats, leaving the pigs with nothing to eat. Monkeys eat fruit leaving humans with less fruit.
