Evidence of Work

For our project we had to come up with 5 modifications for our first piece of work. Our first piece of work was to draw or sketch out the solar system with only our brains. We as a group did pretty good with sketching out the solar system and were accurate for the most part. Our second modification was to write out the planets distances away from the sun and write it out on our previous sketch of the solar system. We got to use computers and textbooks so our numbers were pretty accurate. For our third modification we had to research the masses and gravity's for each planet and that was easy because we used the internet for that one. Our fourth modification was to restart our sketches on the back of our paper. This was easy because we just had to make it neater than the first modification but, we only sketched out the Earth, Mars, Moon and the sun. For our final modification we had to explain and show different relationships with each planet. Overall this project taught me a lot about

• I am able to use the equation F = G m1 m2 / d^2, with a calculator. I used this equation when finding the force for Planet Y and when doing practice problems with the equation.
• I am able to sketch out where planets are located. (not to scale)
• I can tell how far away planets are from one another
• I can somewhat understand how mass effects gravity.

Universal Law of Gravitational- The law of conversation of energy states that the total energy of an isolated system remains constant.

Reflection

During our project I thought we all did good on contributing to the poster. This was good because no one was left out and everyone had a part to do. Also we were very proactive and for the most part working on our project. One thing that I need to work on is becoming more of a leader and sharing my ideas. As a group though being positive to one another would have helped more but that is something that can be fixed if we had a leader in our group. Overall the project was a great success and I look forward to do more planet based projects. We as a group need to work on our communication skills by talking positively. Also our character by having positive attidtudes
