Over the course of this year we have read many book's as a class and we have read book's independently. We had gotten the chance to choose a book that we wanted to read independently. We also explored issues surrounding "self and society" throughout the course of this year. Some books that we read were: Of Mice and Men, Lord of the Flies, Romeo and Juliet, and To Kill a Mockingbird, as well as several short stories and poems.
For our assignment we were asked to write our own book review. We had to choose any book that we had read this year and write about the book. We had to follow a prompt and answer questions relating to the theme of the book and the overall summary of the book.
For this project I think that my planning was a little off because I had missed the day that this project was assigned and due. I had also a hard time with turnitin.com because I had used the wrong class code and had to wait another day to then turn it in with the right class code. Once I got started with the book review, I then started to focus and just pound through it, and get it over with. I would say that my conscientious learning had grown a lot because I knew that I could easily write 150+ words and I knew that I could not only understand the books that I have read this year, but also I could learn from the books.
