History of Marine Biology Timeline

What we did? What we did in this project was getting a work sheet filled with terms we learned in this project and filling out everything from dates, description, and the importance of it. After that we shared what we got on the worksheet with our table group. Finally we worked on the final poster with drawings and the terms that were on the first worksheet we got.

Marine Laboratries(1872): These Labs were used to study organisms and do long term experiments. They have significantly contributed to Marine Bio knowledge and cultivates an environment that fosters research and developments.

NOAA: NOAA (2010-Present) is a vessel that is used for exploratory purposes. It helped us discover advancements of knowledge we have today

The Challenger Expedition: The Challenger Expedition was a British war ship that collected water samples, ocean floor samples, and made so volumes of data. It yielded a wealth of information regarding marine environment about temp, currents, waterchemistry, and ocean floor deposits. Around the time period of 1872-1876

Charles Darwin: Charles Darwin is a very important person in Marine biology. He did studies around the time period of the 1830s. He was an English biologist and naturalist who studied humorous organisms in the Golapagos Islands. He signifacntly heightend our understandings of speices and developed the theory of evolution.

Reflection: I feel like this project went very well. Somethings that I gained more experience while doing this project was better research and finding better sources then before. Another thing I got better at while doing this project was drawing better. Something I could have done better in this project was adding more drawings to the poster and filling in more of the blank spaces
