This class is dedicated to learning about Game Asset Production.
Games development uses assets from a range of creative sources. 3D models for environments and objects, 2D assets for menus and backgrounds, and more. In this module, I gain the fundamental understanding of the production and implementation of these types of assets. This is important to support collaboration with other creatives, and to meet the common need to develop representative placeholder assets during production. I gain practical experience with 3D modelling, lighting, shading, animation and rendering to gain a foundational understanding of a range of computer graphics concepts. I also reflect on the theoretical principles behind the development of computer graphics through critical analysis.
By the way, the rabbit to the right is a reference to something you probably don't know about but is related to this course.
