To start the production phase we made block outs of objects we would need in our scene so we could get a feel of what would make the scene better! Also, using the block outs, I quickly threw together an impromptu scene so we could actually get a view of what it could look like and used that to help us get an idea of what we did/didn't need! Some of the objects we decided we didn't need to redo as they already looked good enough for the final thing whereas things such as the forklift clearly needed re-doing as I stuck a sofa I created for one of my side projects in as the seat as it would save valuable time that we could use!
We made this scene to get a feel for what our final scene would look like and as you can tell there is many things in this image that didn't make it into the final render and making this helped us realise what would work and what wouldn't.
These are some of the examples of the models I created for the project which includes; shelves, boxes, a fridge, a microwave, kitchen counter and a bin! You can also see a few of the models we made that are the main focal points of the scene such as a forklift, a dumpster with fungus emerging from the side and Negan's baseball bat, Lucille. The dumpster had the highest poly count and each of the mushrooms on it had about 20000 each! The barbed wire on the bat also used a whole lot of polys.
To create the scene, we needed to also create a setting for the scene and we previously decided on it to be a warehouse, therefore we had to make one! Once we made the warehouse, we had to put everything inside of it that we had modeled beforehand on Blender and then we would compose everything to get the perfect shot and make it look the very best we could. To do so, we made a focal point for the scene and that would be an industrial-grade dumpster that was covered with fungus from The Last of Us. However, we wanted everything we made to be in the scene but it proved to be quite tricky as we needed to plan it thoroughly so the layout would be perfect.
I have no video evidence as the computer I was using didn't have OBS installed.
