Composition simply means 'putting together' and this is where I made the scene come to life. As you'll see below, we went from an empty warehouse with nothing in it at all to a warehouse that is full of life (even though it technically is lifeless.) We also had to cut some things from the project as even though we modeled it and spent our time on it, it just didn't feel right when we were putting it together!
On the left is the warehouse model that we started with, it was that warehouse that we would use to place all our models into and hope that it would all look good. On the right, is the warehouse that I created after the first day of composing the scene with everything inside and you can see how it all came together slowly but surely.
This is the final render of the warehouse. As you can see it has the forklift in it with all the shelves and has the dumpster as the main focal point in the scene with a flesh texture added onto it to make it look disgusting. To the left hand side there is a conveyer belt with a few steel tables and boxes as we wanted to make it the packaging area as most modern warehouses has them! You can also see a lorry door, this is where the cargo you can see on the shelves will be exported!
Overall, I didn't think it went too bad in the end. I had a partner that was very skilled and also fun to work with, he taught me some new qualities and I feel like we worked very well together! However, I would say that our main downfall came in the size of our project, I think due to the size of a warehouse it would be quite tricky to make it seem full and that would be a lot of different objects that we would have to model whereas most people chose a singular room of a house or just a smaller and more confined space. Looking back on it, I would've rather done a smaller place or a smaller-scale warehouse rather then the behemoth we created! Even though it didn't go perfectly to plan I enjoyed working on it and I feel like I learned quite a few skills, however, it still feels like there is still quite a bit of skills I need to pick up on due to joining a bit late and I think there was some mountains I could've overcame easier if I had that little more knowledge!
