We have been given the brief and we have to create a scene out of any of the four entertainment pieces with our assigned partner. It is quite a creative task as once we have selected any of the four we can pretty much do whatever we'd like and make it our own. (Miro link at the bottom)
In the brief we got to choose a game to create an interior scene in Blender, we chose the game The Last of Us. In the brief it is required we meet all three stages of production (Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production)
Pre-Production
In pre-production, the brief states that we need to do an analysis, action plan(s), mood boards, floor plans, concept art, asset list etc. We will need to create all of these in the Pre-Production stage so that we can hit the brief that is given to us.
Production
In the production stage we have been asked to evidence research, development, wireframes, lighting, texturing etc. We will do all of these so that we hit the brief but also so that we can show evidence of what we have done.
Post-Production
In the Post-Production stage we will need to evaluate the work we have done throughout the whole production of the project and see the improvements that could be made for next time, we will also need to include are OBS recordings for are asset creation so there is evidence.
Job Roles
For the roles of what we will be doing, we will both be doing a bit of everything however we will focus on certain areas of the production. Here are the roles that we discussed.
Harry- Texture Painter, Animator.
Billy- 3D Modelling, Concept Artist. Composition

We were given a deadline for each of the sections of the production stages:
Pre-Production- 10/12/2023
Production- 28/01/2024
Submission Date- 04/02/2024
Assessment
We are being assed on multiple areas however we are mostly being assed on the 3D modelling aspect of the brief such as creating assets and the interior scene of the project. Another assessment point would be the final evaluation of our work, such as improvements that we could make and what went well in the brief such as good communication or good workflow.
Software
For software we will be using -
Pre-production- Miro, word, Microsoft edge - This software will be used to create work plans, mood boards and to research for the production stage.
Production- Blender, Substance Painter - we will use Blender to create the assets and scene, and Substance Painter will be used to texture each asset and the scene.
Post-production- Blender (render), Word, Miro - Blender will be used to create the final render of the scene and Miro/word will be used to evaluate the work before we submit the final assessment.
