(Module 3 Topic 2 Lesson 1: Intro to Equations OR Reasoning with Equal Expressions)

Learning objective = Students learn that an equation is a statement of equality between two expressions. They determine an unknown number in an equation by rewriting the expressions on either side of the equal sign until they match. Students use a double number line and the Properties of Equality to build equations with the same solution.
