(Module 3 Topic 1 Lesson 2: Algebraic Expression)

Learning objective = Students translate mathematical phrases into numeric expressions with mathematical symbols. They use arithmetic to solve a series of problems and generalize the pattern to write an algebraic expression for the situation. Students substitute a given value for a variable and then evaluate a mathematical expression. They use vocabulary such as coefficient, term, and evaluate.
