Understanding Applicants in EasyLynx
When to select a commercial or personal applicant?
If a customer has a commercial policy🏬, it is best to split that off into a commercial applicant this is useful for submission center/Tarmika, NAICs code. Personal applicants have access to the rater.
So for example let’s say you have a personal applicant and they have a commercial building they want to insure. Put that commercial policy under a commercial applicant and link it back to the personal applicant.
Going forward when you notice this please make sure to split them apart. Keep in mind text messages will go to unresolved text messages so be sure to check that daily.
Switch Commercial Applicant to Personal Applicant (do this in reverse as well) - Personal applicants do not have access to the Submission Center and cannot share certificates of insurance in the client center. This is very important for commercial applicants so always be sure to check.
Pro Tip 💪 Make sure to associate existing discussions and documents with the policy number so when you move policies the notes and documents moves with it.
If the other applicant is no longer going to be active remove the mobile number from the file 📲
Linked Applicants - do this for creating relationships between applicants 👥
Merge Applicants - sometimes a duplicate applicant is setup or it makes sense to put everything together under 1 applicant) 🔀
Delete and Restore Applicants - you can always delete and restore applicants. You cannot do this for policies! 🔄
