BOP/Commercial Package/Property/GL How coinsurance works- Imagine you're renting a house with a couple of friends. Each of you is responsible for covering a portion of the rent and any damage costs that might occur. A co-insurance clause in property insurance is kinda similar.
Let's say you insure your belongings in your apartment for $10,000, but your insurance policy has a co-insurance clause of 80%. This means your insurance company expects you to insure your belongings for at least 80% of their total value to get full coverage.
So, if you only insured them for $8,000 (which is less than 80% of their total value), and you suffer a loss, like a fire damages your stuff, the insurance company won't cover the full cost of replacing your belongings. Instead, they'd only pay for a portion of the loss based on the ratio of what you insured ($8,000) to what you should have insured ($10,000).
It's like everyone pitching in their fair share of the rent. If you don't cover enough of your belongings with insurance, the insurance company won't cover the full cost of replacing them if something bad happens

Commercial AutoCommercial AutoCA LOB NJ state increase- Assembly Bill 4292 increases the minimum amount of liability coverage for commercial motor vehicles as follows:
$1,500,000 for a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 26,001 lbs. or higher, exclusive of interest and costs, due to injury or death of one or more persons in any one accident or for damage to property in any one accident.
$300,000 for a GVW between 10,0001 lbs. - 26,000 lbs., exclusive of interest and costs, due to injury or death of one or more persons in any one accident or for damage to property in any one accident.
