The topic of mental health has grown over the last decade, and there are still many parts of mental health that are not discussed within corporate workplace settings. Research on this topic has shown the significant impacts of stigma, work-related stress, burnout, the importance of appropriate resources, and how the COVID-19 pandemic has exemplified each area.
This study aimed to focus on gaps within current workplace dynamics as it relates to mental health. The research goal was to gain perspective from current employees and leaders to understand how companies can improve their businesses to better show up for employees and showcase a more well-rounded understanding of how mental health ties into retaining good talent.
Throughout the presentation, I will discuss an overview of the survey's findings and go more in-depth with what the data showed. The hope is to have attendees better understand mental health and develop new ways to cultivate a healthier community at their organization.
