In today’s fast-paced office environment, administrative assistants play a critical role in supporting daily operations and facilitating communication among departments and personnel. Despite their extensive responsibilities, which include calendar management, travel arrangements, and expense reporting, the contributions of administrative assistants often go unnoticed and are undervalued by others in the organization. This action research project aims to shed light on the unseen influence of administrative assistants, exploring how they shape organizational culture, act as leaders and mediators, drive organizational change, and promote collaboration and teamwork. By examining their impact through the perspectives of both administrative assistants and non-administrative assistants, this presentation seeks to emphasize the significant role administrative assistants play in influencing an organization’s overall success in areas such as change, culture, and community.
